Alchemy Salon at the Plaza is a luxury hair salon that opened in August 2019. Being a new business opened right before a pandemic was hectic, but our team has pulled through and found new and inventive ways to offer services to the Monterey peninsula. We constantly work and innovate to stay up with the latest trends and provide quality hair and beauty services.

Brandi Macrina has been working behind the chair for over 20 years, and has been in the industry since 1996. She has worked every day of her career to make her dreams a reality and be a salon owner here in Monterey, CA. She’s always had a thing for cutting-edge education and frequently attends advanced training to stay on-trend.

Originally from the Bay Area, she started her career in the Napa/Vacaville area. She has spent many summers in beautiful Monterey with her grandma. Monterey has been like a second home to her.

After years of hard work and dedication in many high-end salons, Brandi finally became a salon owner! She purchased an existing salon, changed the name, rebranded, and took the leap of faith needed to make her dream a reality. She has assisted celebrity hairstylists, and is a thriving independent stylist in her own right.
